About the Company
My client is a respected independent construction materials testing company serving the civil engineering, construction, and quarrying sectors. They specialise in asphalt, aggregates, earthworks, and concrete testing, supporting projects from production through to on‑site verification and laboratory analysis within their UKAS‑accredited facilities.
With continued growth across the UK, they are looking to add another dedicated Materials Site Technician to their professional and supportive team.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Materials Site Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring construction materials meet required specifications and safety standards across a variety of projects.
- Carrying out on‑site testing of materials including concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates
- Recording and documenting test results accurately
- Monitoring the quality and condition of materials delivered to site
- Preparing reports and communicating findings with engineers and project teams
- Supporting site teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Travelling to different project locations across the region, with occasional overnight stays
- Maintaining high health and safety standards at all times
- Working outdoors in a variety of environments and weather conditions
What My Client Is Looking For
- Previous experience within construction, materials testing, engineering, or a similar field‑based environment (preferred but not essential)
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and proactive approach to problem‑solving
- Flexibility to travel regularly to sites
- A full UK driving licence would be advantageous
Candidates from backgrounds such as Construction Technician, Field Technician, Site Technician, Materials Technician, Surveyor, or Construction Engineer are encouraged to apply.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary of circa £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience
- Daily overtime available
- Weekend overtime paid at 1.5x basic rate
- Night shift allowance of +£2.50 per hour
