A specialist SEN setting in Mile End, Tower Hamlets is looking for a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex additional needs. This is a hands‑on SEN role for someone confident supporting pupils with more complex needs. It is a practical, hands‑on support role. The school needs someone caring, resilient and confident working with pupils who may need communication support, sensory support, personal care or structured routines.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with complex needs, ASD, PMLD or EHCP-linked needs
• Helping pupils access learning and daily routines
• Working closely with SEN teachers, therapists and support staff
• Providing consistent, patient and reliable support

Qualifications

• SEN, care, support work, school or youth work experience
• Comfortable with practical support
• Patience, resilience and strong communication
• Ability to stay calm and consistent throughout the day

Pay: £95 – £120 per day

Location: Mile End, Tower Hamlets (E14 5AB)

Start date: September 2026
