Location and Contract

Location: Various projects across Northern – some travel and living away expected. Contract type: Full time/permanent.

About the Role

Join our team as a Groundworker Apprentice and build the foundations for a successful career in construction. A full‑time earn‑and‑learn position where you will be involved in delivering multi‑million projects and leaving a lasting legacy and positive change in our communities.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Preparing and levelling construction sites
  • Laying foundations, drainage systems and concrete
  • Operating and maintaining tools and equipment
  • Following health & safety protocols on site
  • Working as part of a team to complete a variety of groundwork tasks

What You’ll Need – Academic Requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English grade 3 or above (desirable but you will have the opportunity to build on your academic achievements during the apprenticeship)
  • Must not already hold a similar qualification of the same level

Additional Requirements

  • Driving licence desirable or ability to learn and have access to a vehicle during the apprenticeship
  • May need to move away to work on a project; living away allowance available

  • Valid driving licence desirable or willing to obtain one during the apprenticeship
