Summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Medicines Optimisation Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team at Central & North West London NHS Foundation Trust based in Inner London Services. The role will provide high‑quality support to patients and facilitate medicines optimisation services for in‑patient eating disorder, children’s and adolescents’ mental health services, and rehabilitation units.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medicines optimisation services to in‑patient units, including eating disorder, children’s and adolescents’ mental health and rehabilitation units.
  • Deliver high‑quality support to patients through pharmacy operations and patient care.
  • Demonstrate person‑centred and organisational skills to manage workload efficiently.
  • Participate in weekend and bank holiday rota following induction and training.

Qualifications

  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician and currently practising.
  • Completed a GPhC‑approved combined pharmacy technician qualification or hold a nationally recognised ‘Medicines Optimisation skills’ certificate and a ‘Final Accuracy Checking’ qualification.
  • Willingness to work towards any missing qualifications if not yet completed.
  • Previous NHS hospital pharmacy experience, including mental health, desirable.
