The Role:

A leading organisation in the renewable energy and infrastructure sector is seeking a Project Coordination Specialist to support the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects.

Working closely with Project Managers and the PMO, this role will provide project management, reporting and coordination support to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget and in accordance with governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of large-scale infrastructure and energy projects.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of project management plans covering scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, procurement and stakeholder management.
  • Ensure project governance processes are followed and support reporting to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Build effective working relationships across project teams and support knowledge sharing initiatives.
  • Coordinate project communications, meetings, reports and presentations.
  • Manage project documentation and document control systems, ensuring accurate revision control and distribution.
  • Track project actions, risks, issues and deliverables, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Prepare and maintain project controls documentation including programmes, risk registers, action logs and financial trackers.
  • Support stakeholder and community engagement activities where required.
  • Assist with procurement processes and contract administration activities.
  • Monitor project expenditure and prepare regular financial reports, budget updates and forecasts.
  • Support compliance with health, safety and organisational policies.

Requirements:

  • Third-level qualification in Engineering, Business, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Project Management desirable.
  • Minimum 1 year's experience in a project coordination or project support role within infrastructure, engineering, construction or energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and processes.
  • Excellent communication, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with document management and collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, ProjectWise or similar would be advantageous.
  • Professional project management certification (e.g. PMP or equivalent) desirable.
  • Knowledge of the Irish energy or infrastructure sector would be beneficial.
