An ambitious public‑sector organisation is seeking a visionary Deputy Director – ICT & Digital Services to lead and transform digital, technology and information services across a large and complex environment. This strategic leadership role will shape how technology empowers the workforce, enhances service delivery, and supports improved outcomes for communities.
You will play a key part in driving innovation, modernising digital capabilities, and enabling the organisation to operate effectively in an increasingly digital world.
Key Responsibilities
In this influential role, you will:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for ICT, digital and information services, ensuring they remain secure, resilient and future‑focused.
- Champion the development of customer‑centric digital services that enable colleagues to work more efficiently and effectively.
- Lead organisation‑wide digital transformation, embedding innovation, automation and modern ways of working.
- Oversee an annual technology budget of approximately £5 million, with influence over wider investment decisions.
- Lead and develop multi‑disciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and professional excellence.
- Shape corporate strategy and contribute to a unified, organisation‑wide approach to digital.
- Operate as part of the senior leadership team, supporting transformation and improved outcomes for service users.
