Glenbrook High School District 225’s Communications Department is offering an exciting opportunity for students to help capture and share the unique stories of our school community. This position is designed for students interested in gaining real-world experience in the fields of communications, media, and marketing. We are seeking applicants for Glenbrook North High School.
Areas of Interest
We welcome applicants who have skills or an interest in one or more of the following:
- Communications / Public Relations
- Social Media Management
- Photography
- Videography
- Graphic Design
Duties
- Attend a variety of school activities, clubs, performances, and sporting events to capture stories, photos, and video content.
- Assist with the creation of engaging content for the district’s website, newsletters, and social media platforms.
- Contribute creative ideas to highlight student achievements.
Skills and Experience
- Hands-on experience working alongside a professional communications team.
- The opportunity to build a portfolio showcasing your skills in digital media, storytelling, and marketing.
- Practical knowledge of communications tools and strategies that can support future academic and career opportunities.
- Commitment: 5–10 hours per week (flexible with school schedule).
- Evening and weekend availability may be required for coverage of certain events.
- Position runs throughout the school year, with the possibility of summer hours.
- Ability to travel independently to events.

Glenbrook High School District 225, commonly referred to as the Glenbrooks, has a student enrollment of approximately 5,000 students. Glenbrook North and Glenbrook South High Schools have a reputation for offering students an excellent, high-quality, well-rounded educational experience. The Glenbrooks also offer alternative learning at Glenbrook Off-Campus.
To create a comprehensive high school experience, the Glenbrooks focus on four distinct areas: Academics, Athletics, Activities, and the Arts. Academic success is a top priority for our students and with almost 300 diverse course offerings, there is plenty of opportunity for exploration. In addition to core academic courses in the areas of English, mathematics, science, social studies, and world language; students may pursue special interest classes such as architecture, automotive, debate, graphic design, and music. Glenbrook students enjoy success inside and outside of the classroom through numerous athletic and activities programs. The schools offer over 25 different competitive sports and a series of club sports to satisfy any athlete. Each school also hosts 70-80 different clubs and activities for students throughout the year.
