About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a Behaviour Support Mentor to join a vibrant alternative provision setting in the Leeds area on a long‑term basis.
The full‑time post is due to start immediately, with shortlisting currently taking place. This alternative provision is committed to providing a nurturing, trauma‑informed environment where every young person is supported to re‑engage with learning and develop positive pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs to engage positively in learning
- Implementing behaviour strategies and de‑escalation techniques in line with school policy
- Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and external agencies to promote pupil wellbeing
Pre-requisites:
- Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, or behaviour support
- Proven experience supporting pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviour
- Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and trauma‑informed practice
- Two education or school‑based references
