Are you an experienced Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker looking for your next opportunity in a supportive and well-established children’s home?
We are recruiting for a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a 3-bed EBD residential service in Ingol, Preston, supporting two young people aged 12 and 16 with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
The Role
As a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the home, leading shifts, mentoring colleagues, and helping young people achieve positive outcomes in a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 months’ experience as a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker
- Experience supporting children and young people with EBD and complex needs
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Comfortable driving an automatic vehicle
- PMVA / Safehold training desirable
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Leading shifts and supporting the management team

- Supporting behaviour management plans and risk assessments
- Maintaining accurate records and reportsPromoting positive outcomes and independence
- Ensuring safeguarding and wellbeing remain at the forefront of practice
- Acting as a positive role model for both young people and staff
Shift Pattern
- 10:00am – 11:00pm
- Sleep-in
- 7:00am – 10:30am
