Aircraft cleaner and Operational support assistant

Salary and Employment

£29,018.23 per annum. Grade: P. Contract: Permanent, Full Time. Location: East Midlands Airport. Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off rotational days, 07:00am – 19:00pm.

PLEASE NOTE: The role is based within an Airport. The successful candidate will be required to undergo security vetting processes, including a criminal record check.

Role Overview

As a cleaning crew member you will play an integral role in the ground handling operation, working to tight timeframes while delivering fantastic results.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning cargo aircraft to a high standard
• Working quickly to meet tight deadlines
• Ensuring compliance with all security processes at East Midlands Airport
• Operating all equipment, as per training, to meet safety expectations
• Working in a safe and tidy manner
• Cleaning the pilot lounge, including drink, coffee machine and food replenishment tasks
• Making crew beds and cleaning bedrooms, organising linen delivery and collection
• Preparing aircraft bedding packs
• Cleaning the engineering hangar, including use of ride‑on scrubber
• Completing catering requests and packing catering

Qualifications

• Takes pride in their work
• Can work at a fast pace
• Prior cleaning and/or airport experience preferable
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
• Ability to react quickly and accurately to any situation

Security Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years UK address history
• Ability to provide 5 years reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
• Full UK driving licence
• To obtain a full airside ID
