About the Role

Justteachers is seeking a committed Physics Teacher to support a well regarded secondary school in Sowerby Bridge. This is a long term cover position, starting ASAP, involves delivering engaging and well structured Physics lessons across KS3 and KS4 as part of a supportive science department.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Physics lessons covering key theoretical and practical concepts.
• Support students’ understanding of physics principles through clear explanations and engaging demonstrations.
• Use effective differentiation and assessment strategies to promote progress.
• Maintain strong behaviour management to ensure a positive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider school team.

Pre requisites

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent Physics/Science teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Physics at secondary level.
• Confident delivery of practical science and strong classroom management.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice.
• Ability to provide two education based references.
