CNC Programmer / CNC Machinist

Location: MedwaySalary: £33,500 – £40,000 (DOE)Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible start times)

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company based in Medway. The role is varied and hands‑on, ideal for someone who enjoys working on a wide range of bespoke components in a busy manufacturing environment.

The Role

As a CNC Programmer/Machinist you will program, set up and operate CNC machinery to produce high‑quality, precision‑engineered components from customer drawings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programming, setting and operating CNC machines
  • Producing components to exact drawing specifications and tolerances
  • Carrying out in‑process and final inspection of parts
  • Performing multiple tool changes and machine adjustments per shift
  • Deburring and finishing components as required
  • Working to production targets while maintaining quality standards
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Collaborating within a small, hands‑on team

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in CNC programming and machining
  • Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
  • Competent using measuring equipment and completing quality checks
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Reliable, hardworking and team‑focused approach
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support across production

Desirable: Manual turning experience.
