Midday Assistant – Quilters Infants and Junior School
We require an enthusiastic, flexible and hardworking Midday Assistant (MDA) to work during the lunch hour serving dinners and carrying out playground duties. Training will be provided.
Monday to Friday term time only, approximately 7 hours (12:00pm to 1.15pm). Exact hours will be role dependent.
Salary: Scale 2 (approx £13.43 per hour).
We are an outstanding school seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Midday Assistant with a “can-do” attitude who is committed to raising standards for those they work with. You will need to have an ability to work flexibly and with enthusiasm. You will work in partnership with class teachers and the SENCO, to support codes of practice, school policies and procedures.
The successful candidate should have the following:
- Experience of supporting children
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Is able to demonstrate patience, calmness and flexibility at all times
- A commitment to high achievement from pupils and themselves
- Excellent organisation and inter-personal skills
- Flexibility, the ability to use their own initiative
- Willing to undertake training and support individual needs
The Governing Body is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to satisfactory medical checks, and references, social media checks and enhanced DBS clearance.
Further Information
Working weeks per year: 38 weeks
The successful candidate will work during each week of term time excluding non-pupil days.
Holiday will be deemed to be taken during school closure periods. There is no entitlement to take holiday during term time.
Pay: This post is paid on Pay Scale 2. Employees are paid monthly in twelve equal months per year.
All individuals will be required to satisfactorily complete a six-month probationary period.
