Social Care Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for individuals to join our dedicated team at Mains House, which provides nursing and residential care services for 25 older adults.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, supporting residents with the full range of daily living activities, personal care and welfare.
• Assume key‑worker responsibilities, leading the shift in the absence of the manager.
• Administer prescribed medication and supervise staff.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff.
• Respond to the complex physical, mental and emotional needs of older adults in an enabling way.

Qualifications

• Experience in nursing or residential care preferred; training will be provided.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Knowledge of the needs of older adults.
• SVQ Level 3 or equivalent desirable; training available.

Work Schedule

Successful candidates will work on rotational day and night shifts. The position can be full or part time.
