Children Residential Support Worker – Longridge

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a vibrant children’s care home in the Longridge area on a long‑term basis. The full‑time post is due to start in April 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place. The home provides a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for children and young people with emotional, behavioural and complex needs, focusing on building positive relationships and supporting long‑term stability and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing day‑to‑day care, emotional support and guidance to children within a residential setting
• Supporting routines, education, social development and positive behaviour
• Working as part of a dedicated care team to implement individual care and support plans

Pre‑requisites:

• Relevant qualifications or experience in children’s residential care
• Proven experience supporting children or young people with additional or complex needs
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, trauma‑informed practice and behaviour support
• A full UK driving licence (essential)
• Two education or care‑based references
