Telehandler / 360 Excavator Operator
Based from Ilkeston (Multi‑Site Role). Up to £24.00 per hour (CIS). £25.00 per night lodging allowance. Weekly Pay. Start Date: 29th June.
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Telehandler / 360 Excavator Operator to join a busy precast concrete installation team working on projects across the UK. This is a hands‑on role supporting installation crews on a variety of construction sites, operating both Telehandler and 360 Excavator machinery while assisting with the movement and installation of precast concrete products. The successful candidate will travel with the team from the Ilkeston yard to site locations or stay away during the week where required, with accommodation fully provided.
Location & Travel
- Daily departures from Ilkeston yard
- Working on multiple sites nationwide
- Travel with the installation team
- Lodging away required on some projects
- Accommodation provided when working away
- £25 per night allowance paid when lodging
Candidates located within commuting distance of Ilkeston are highly desirable.
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- Early starts depending on site location
- Overtime may be available depending on project requirements

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Operating Telehandler and 360 Excavator machinery safely on site
- Unloading precast concrete products from delivery wagons
- Moving materials and components around site
- Supporting precast installation teams
- Excavation and digging works where required
- Assisting with lifting operations and site logistics
- Carrying out daily plant inspections and reporting defects
- Maintaining a safe working environment at all times
- Supporting general site operations as required
Requirements
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler ticket
- Valid CPCS or NPORS 360 Excavator ticket
- NPORS cards must carry the CSCS logo
- Previous experience operating both Telehandler and 360 Excavator equipment
- Experience working within construction, civils, precast concrete, or infrastructure projects
- Ability to lodge away during the working week when required
- Reliable and flexible approach to travel and site work
- UTR number required for CIS payments
Contract Details
- Start Date: 29th June
- Up to 6 weeks work initially
- Potential for extension depending on project requirements and performance
