St Paul’s Girls’ School – an extraordinary and historic institution focused on nurturing creativity, curiosity, and a love of academic discovery – is seeking a highly motivated Executive Assistant to provide exceptional administrative and organisational support to the High Mistress.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively managing the High Mistress’s diary, prioritising commitments and anticipating needs accordingly, and organising travel arrangements.
- Acting as the first point of contact for all communications to and from the High Mistress, ensuring professionalism and discretion at all times.
- Preparing agendas, briefing papers, reports and presentations for internal and external meetings and minuting meetings as required.
- Maintaining electronic filing systems and confidential records related to governance, safeguarding, and compliance.
- Acting as the High Mistress’s representative and liaison point across key departments and working closely with a range of teams to coordinate the High Mistress’s involvement in relevant events and initiatives.
- Working closely with HR and administrative teams to support staff recruitment processes.
- Drafting and quality assuring correspondence and newsletters.
- Working with the Marketing and Admissions teams to support promotional activities and events.
- Representing the High Mistress in communications with parents, governors, professional bodies, and partner institutions.
Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience working as a PA/EA to a senior executive.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Discretion and integrity in handling sensitive information.
- Proactive, flexible and solutions-focused, with strong initiative and attention to detail.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages and a willingness to master new systems.
- Ability to work with enthusiasm and cheerfulness in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Experience within the independent (or wider) education sector (desirable).

Salary: Competitive, based on qualifications and relevant experience.
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (8.00am to 5.00pm plus a one-hour unpaid lunch break), 52 weeks per year.
