Role Summary
As a Production Operative, your role will be to manufacture shower trays at our Hull facility. You will operate the vacuum forming and trays production lines, inspect manufactured material and maintain housekeeping to the required standards.
There are potential opportunities for progression to supervisory/leadership positions for those that display the desire to do so.
The role operates a 37.5‑hour week, Monday to Friday, on a rotating 2‑shift basis:
- Week 1: Mon‑Thu 6:00 am – 2:30 pm; Fri 6:00 am – 10:50 am.
- Week 2: Mon‑Thu 2:30 pm – 12:10 am.
Basic Function
- Operate various machines to manufacture shower trays.
- Produce various types of products and check against quality specifications.
- Enter data into manufacturing software.
- Move raw materials and finished goods around production areas and warehousing on reach and flexi‑trucks.
- Load and operate numerous different types of machines including vacuum forming, casting, packaging equipment and use of some hand tools.
- Perform manual handling activities.
- Participate in shift handover meetings to discuss shift duties.
- Willing to undertake additional training when required.
- Ensure workspaces are clean and tidy.
- Contribute ideas to continuous improvement activities.
Skills and Experience
- Ideally experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Self‑motivated individual who can work as part of a team and on their own when required.
- Reach and flexi‑truck licence holder preferred.
- Ability to learn new skills and duties quickly.
- Positive, can‑do attitude with willingness to learn and progress.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
