Responsibilities
- Ensure the level of clinical care goes beyond professional standards, statutory, regulatory and legal requirements.
- Provide specialist nursing support and advice.
- Take responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence.
- Supervise, coach and mentor colleagues to deliver an unparalleled, empathy‑driven service.
- Act as a practice supervisor and assessor to students, sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Advocate and deliver a person‑centred approach to care for residents and their families.
- Recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect, and take appropriate action and escalation if required.
- Attend safeguarding training applicable to your role and undertake additional training in associated areas.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Pin number.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional standards set by the NMC.
- Experience in a care home environment (including Dementia, Nursing, Residential or Specialist care homes).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, role‑modeling professional behaviours.
