We are seeking a motivated and solutions-focused Maintenance Technician to join the growing Engineering Team within a leading global logistics organisation.

As an Engineering Technician, you will play a key role in supporting, maintaining and improving operational systems, automation equipment and engineering processes across the logistics network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance, troubleshooting and optimisation of engineering systems and automated equipment.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Work closely with operations, maintenance and technical teams to ensure smooth day‑to‑day performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for technical issues.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Assist with project planning, equipment upgrades and installation activities.
  • Prepare technical documentation, maintenance reports and performance data analysis.
  • Support preventative maintenance programmes and reliability initiatives.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or related discipline).
  • Previous experience within logistics, manufacturing, distribution, automation or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with automated systems, conveyors, robotics or warehouse technologies is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of maintenance systems and engineering best practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
