Network Systems Support Engineer
Responsible for supporting the MUFG EMEA data network and all related networking components, including firewalls and network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of network‑related incidents and troubleshoot from first alert to resolution, ensuring effective customer‑facing communication with users, team members, internal teams and vendors.
- Maintain and create a comprehensive set of network data diagrams and documentation.
- Conduct project activities to specific time‑lines and deliver network data project tasks and objectives assigned to the team.
- Assist with the support and maintenance of all NSS duties including data, security and infrastructure.
- Work according to the MUFG shift plan to cover support and project delivery after office hours, on‑call and weekend working when required.
Shift Pattern
- Normal office hours Monday – Friday
- Participation in a shift pattern to cover support and project delivery (2 in 6 shifts).
- Early shift starts at 7:00 am; late shift ends at 6:00 pm.
- Occasional bank holiday working as per business requirements.
- Weekend working as per business requirements.
Skills And Experience
- Understanding of ISO layers, IP addressing and subnetting.
- Experience with Layer 3 path control, IPv4 redistribution, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and Layer 2 switching.
- Knowledge of Cisco NX‑OS, IOS, ACI, ISE, Meraki and VLANs.
- Experience with firewalls – Palo Alto, CheckPoint and Cisco ASA.
- Experience with F5 BigIP, Tetration and network performance monitoring.
- Ability to troubleshoot multi‑protocol systems and manage Cisco routing and switching.
- Strong network security background.
