HR Officer (Part-Time)

Location: Killinchy, County Down

Salary: £40,000 Pro Rata

Hours: 3 Days Per Week (Flexible)

Reporting To: Managing Director

The Role

This is a broad and hands-on HR role supporting the Managing Director and leadership team. The successful candidate will take ownership of HR policies, procedures, recruitment and employee development while helping to maintain a positive and compliant working environment.

This opportunity would suit an experienced HR professional who enjoys working within a small to medium-sized business, building strong relationships across all levels of the organisation and providing practical HR support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day HR activities across the business
  • Review, update and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters
  • Support recruitment activities including advertising, interviewing and onboarding
  • Coordinate induction and training programmes for new and existing employees
  • Assist with performance management and employee development initiatives
  • Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with employment legislation
  • Support disciplinary, grievance and absence management processes
  • Work closely with managers to identify training and development needs
  • Contribute to employee engagement and retention initiatives
  • Produce HR reports and management information as required

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous HR Office, HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor experience
  • Experience working within a small to medium-sized business environment
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience managing recruitment and employee relations matters
  • Comfortable developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently
  • CIPD qualification desirable
