Salary Range
Dependant on capabilities and experience
and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment, and building fabric within a retail property environment. Additionally, the role handles planned and reactive maintenance tasks along with other building fabric maintenance duties across a retail property.
Responsibilities
- To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Contract Manager, including fault finding, testing, repair and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment and other electrical duties.
- Carry out various non‑specialist building fabric maintenance tasks.
- Close or update completed PPM tasks on the site computerised maintenance system.
- Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximise the operation effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
- Coordinate specialist subcontractor requirements for both PPM and reactive works.
- Ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
- Follow company and site Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain accurate site records and documentation for all site works.
- Inspect the condition of services and proactively respond to call‑outs/repairs as required, and on request by management.
- Attend site emergencies outside of normal working hours.
- Work within typical plantroom environments and at height, using platforms and ladders; all access and PPE provided.
- Maintain all company‑issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
- Work proactively towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.
- Comply with JLL Health, Safety and Environmental procedures as detailed in the site plans.
- Complete any other associated task requested by management.

Qualifications (Essential)
- City & Guilds/NVQ – Building Services Engineering or Electrical Installation/Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
- 18th Edition IEE.
- 2391 Test & Inspect.
Experience (Essential)
- Time served apprenticeship or equivalent training.
- Demonstrable knowledge of building services engineering.
- Minimum 10 years practical experience within the building services engineering industry.
- Previous experience of working within a team.
- Customer service experience.
Desirable
- Knowledge and use of computer software – Microsoft Office, Building Management System, Concept CMMS.
- HVAC & Building Services Engineering experience.

- Smart appearance and presentable.
- Logical thinker in fault‑finding situations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working within a team environment and able to contribute to group success while following instructions.
