Mechanical Fitter — London Gateway (travel-away role)

The rewards

• £15.00 per hour (weekly pay)

Hours

• Monday – Thursday or Monday – Wednesday, 12-hour days
• Option to travel to site the night before

The role of Mechanical Fitter:

• Measuring, preparing, assembling, and installing flooring systems across commercial, industrial, and residential projects
• Using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to a high standard
• Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards

The ideal Mechanical Fitter:

• Some mechanical fitting or installation experience (preferred but full training given)
• Competent with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Good problem-solving skills, able to work independently
• CSCS card (company will assist the right candidate if not held)
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling

Additional context

This is a working-away role based at London Gateway, Monday to Thursday or Monday to Wednesday. The position is with a client specialising in flooring systems installation. Accommodation and meals are fully covered.
