About The Role
We are looking for Bank Support Workers to join our team in Norwich who have a passion for providing a high standard of support that enables young people to learn and develop through education and positive life experiences.
Swanton Staff provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live. Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The role
- Provide support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
- Promote the health, well‑being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
- Facilitate social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, supported employment, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
- Perform general housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties and elements of personal care.
- Complete a range of records and documents as part of the role.
About you
- Enthusiastic, compassionate and committed to supporting people in a way that respects personal choice, promotes access to the community and engagement in a wide range of activities.
- Share Swanton core values (Potential, Responsibility, Integrity, Diversity, Empathy) and be able to apply them in the workplace.
- Adaptable, flexible with excellent communication skills and able to work as part of a team.
- Experience of supporting people with learning disabilities and/or complex care is preferred but all training will be provided.
