Dairy Process Operator (Whey and Milk Intake cover)

Leprino is seeking to appoint a Dairy Process Operator (Whey and Milk Intake cover)on a temporary basis. The role is based at the Magheralin site working within the Department Name department. The successful candidates will be required to provide cover for the Whey and Milk IntakeDepartmentsand efficiently and safely..

  • Operate the Whey Processing Plant in accordance with PSOP’s and daily production plans equipment
  • Operate the Milk Intake in accordance with PSOP’s and daily production plans
  • Provide Team Leader Cover when required

The successful candidates must have:

Essential:

  • Demonstrate competent numeracy and literacy
  • Good basic knowledge of using a computer using MS office (Word & Excel)

  • Minimum of 6 months relevant work experience within a production or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of standards, equipment and/or processes within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices and what constitutes a safe place of work
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene/quality standards
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to maintain accurate records and apply them to operating a process
  • Able to display initiative and apply problem solving skills
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Able to work as part of a team

Desirable:

English, Maths, Biology and/or chemistry GCSE/O Level or equivalent – min of C Grade

Relevant experience in food / dairy manufacturing and production

Experience of HMI/production automated systems

Knowledge of equipment and processes within the food / dairy production environment

PLC knowledge (Scada or Siemens)
