Head of Social Media | Leading Marketing Agency | Hybrid (3 days, London Bridge)
Our client is a dynamic, full-service marketing agency with a strong and growing portfolio of accounts spanning travel, lifestyle, and beyond. As they continue to scale, they’re looking for a Head of Social Media to lead the charge on social strategy — someone who doesn’t just follow the conversation, but shapes it.
The Role
This is a senior leadership position at the heart of the agency’s offering. You’ll own social media strategy across multiple accounts, acting as the expert voice internally and the credible, compelling presence externally when it comes to pitching for new business. Your largest client sits within the travel sector, but your remit is broad — you’ll be bringing strategic thinking to accounts across a range of industries, adapting your approach to fit the brand, the audience, and the moment.
You’ll be embedded in a collaborative, ambitious team and expected to operate as both a visionary and a deliverer — equally at home in a strategy deck as you are in a pitch room.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading social media strategy across all relevant agency accounts, ensuring work is insight-led, commercially savvy, and culturally sharp
- Acting as the agency’s social media authority — keeping pace with platform developments, emerging trends, and shifts in audience behaviour
- Partnering with wider creative, content, and account teams to bring integrated campaigns to life
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a social media strategy or senior social media role within an agency environment — this is non-negotiable
- A track record of developing and presenting social media strategies that win, perform, and evolve
- Confidence and polish in a pitch setting, with the ability to bring clients and prospects along on the journey
- Deep, genuine knowledge of the social media landscape — platforms, formats, algorithms, culture — with the curiosity to stay ahead of it
- Sector versatility: you’re as comfortable crafting a travel campaign as you are pivoting to a different category entirely
- Leadership presence, with the ability to influence both upwards and across a team
