Design Engineer – Energy, Utilities and Renewables (Ref: 2627a)

Location

Antrim office.

Role Overview

Join an established Energy, Utilities and Renewables design team where you will work on diverse electrical engineering projects, from design and testing to project management and renewable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers with designing new electrical systems or components for various applications.
  • Conduct tests on electrical equipment and systems, analyse test data, and troubleshoot problems.
  • Support engineering teams in managing electrical engineering projects, including preparing reports, creating schedules, and assisting with cost estimates.
  • Design and implement control systems.
  • Contribute to projects involving power generation, transmission, or distribution systems.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of renewable energy technologies.
  • Ensure implementation of and compliance with environmental, health and safety programmes.
  • Manage contractors.

Candidate Requirements

  • Engineering degree (Hons Bachelor or higher) in Electrical, Energy Systems, or a similar discipline.
  • 2–4 years post‑graduate experience.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Good academic record.
  • Full clean driving licence and own transport required.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
