Sales Manager – FMCG, London

Established over 20 years ago, our client is an international market leader in the FMCG space, currently working with the likes of Tesco & Nisa. They are now looking for a Sales Manager to come onboard and lead a team of high-performing Field Sales Representatives. This is a key role in developing & leading an existing team, supporting individual in their day-to-day working as well as their long-term growth & progression.

Our client is looking for a hands-on, dedicated and hard-working individual; they offer a wide range of progression opportunities, not only through leadership, but also expanding into wider departments across the business.

This is a hybrid role with a mixture of field-based working, reporting to their Central London head office once per fortnight, and working from home.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & mentor a high-performing team of Field Sales Representatives
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle from point of hire onwards
  • Hold regular 1:1 meetings, offering coaching, advice and support
  • Manage the full territory, creating an area plan to drive profit and success across the team of Field Sales Representatives
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and competitor activity
  • Support in maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key accounts across the territory
  • Collate & share customer feedback with wider internal team to drive improvements across the organisation

The Successful Candidate

  • Experience leading a field sales team is ideal
  • Experienced field sales representatives looking to step into a leadership position will also be considered
  • Experience in the FMCG space is essential; ideally some link to the tobacco / vaping / nicotine industry would be preferred but a wide range of FMCG product experience will be considered
  • Full UK driving license – no more than 6 points
  • Commutable to London

Sales Manager Package

  • Basic salary: £50,000-60,000
  • OTE: +20%
  • £7,000 car allowance
