Asbestos Lab Analyst and Quality Checker

Location: Dartford, UK.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and logging samples received by the laboratory.
• Preparing samples for analysis.
• Carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content.
• Reporting analytical findings.
• Ensuring appropriate storage and retention of samples.
• Generating certificates of analysis and issuing to clients.
• Quality checking asbestos survey reports.

Qualifications

• Attained the P401 qualification.
• Significant experience working in a laboratory/office environment and within the asbestos field.
• Good organisational and IT skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Full UK driving licence and vehicle (or alternative transport) due to location.
• Experience in quality checking asbestos survey reports is desirable, but full training can be provided.
• Knowledge of the second edition of HSG248 is desirable.
