Locum Employment Lawyer

Our client is a highly regarded specialist legal practice seeking an experienced Locum Employment Lawyer to support their dedicated team. This fully remote, part-time position offers a senior practitioner the opportunity to manage a high-quality caseload with an exclusive focus on claimant representation.

Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the successful candidate will manage a varied caseload on behalf of individual claimants. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Advising clients on a broad spectrum of both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
  • Reviewing, negotiating, and advising on complex settlement agreements and executive exit packages.
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and schedules of loss.
  • Providing clear, empathetic, and commercially sound advice to individuals navigating workplace disputes.
  • Managing cases efficiently from initial instruction through to resolution within a structured daily framework.

The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded employment law specialist who meets the following criteria:

  • A qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a minimum of 10 years Post Qualification Experience (PQE) specialising in employment law.
  • A proven track record of handling all-round employment matters, with extensive, demonstrable experience in claimant-side work.
  • Strong technical legal skills and the ability to progress matters independently without close supervision.
  • Exceptional communication and client care skills, with the ability to build rapport virtually.

This role provides an excellent arrangement for a senior professional seeking a predictable, high-quality workload alongside significant professional flexibility. It offers the chance to undertake meaningful, claimant-led work within a respected practice while maintaining an excellent work-life balance through a defined daily schedule.

  • Location: Fully remote (UK based)
  • Working Pattern: Part-time, 5 hours per day / Flexible
