About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons and maintaining a productive classroom environment. You will ensure students remain focused, follow instructions and complete their work, while managing behaviour in line with school policies.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson content across a range of subjects
- Maintain strong classroom management and uphold behaviour standards
- Ensure students stay engaged and complete assigned tasks
- Provide basic support and guidance during lessons
- Record and report on student behaviour and lesson progress
- Promote a safe and respectful learning environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable
- Confident communication and classroom presence
- Ability to manage behaviour effectively and remain calm under pressure
- Flexible and adaptable approach to different subjects and settings
- A genuine interest in supporting students in education
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education
