An excellent opportunity for a Senior / Principal Associate Construction Solicitor specialising in disputes to join a leading national law firm with a strong reputation in infrastructure, projects and public sector work. This role is ideal for an experienced construction litigator seeking to work on complex, high-value disputes across sectors including health, local government, emergency services and social housing.
This Construction Disputes role offers exposure to market-leading contentious work, including disputes arising from major infrastructure projects, PFI arrangements and large-scale developments. The Role:
- Leading on a broad range of complex construction disputes across public and private sector matters
- Advising on disputes arising from major infrastructure, PFI and development projects
- Handling matters across adjudication, litigation and alternative dispute resolution
- Acting on disputes relating to JCT and NEC contracts, including payment, delay and defect claims
- Managing cases through all stages including pre-action strategy, disclosure, expert evidence and trial preparation
- Working closely with partners on high-profile and technically challenging mandates
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development
The Candidate:
- Senior / Principal Associate Construction Solicitor (typically 5+ PQE)
- Strong experience in construction disputes, ideally within infrastructure or public sector projects
- Proven experience advising on JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Experience of adjudication and other forms of ADR, along with litigation processes
- Ability to manage complex matters independently and provide clear, strategic advice
- Commercially astute with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Experience supervising junior lawyers and contributing to team development
- Ambitious and seeking progression within a high-quality national practice
