Early Years Teaching Assistant

27,171 per annum

36 hours per week (with hour unpaid lunch break)

Term Time Only – 39 weeks per year starting September 2026

Are you passionate about supporting young childrens learning and development? We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at Smallwood Primary School & Language Unit a vibrant primary school with a speech and language base in a diverse setting in our Early Years provision.

Smallwood Primary School is an expanding school, with a Language Resource Base and Childrens Centre on site, conveniently situated close to Earlsfield mainline station and Tooting Broadway underground. We are a rapidly improving school and need enthusiastic and committed support staff to continue our forward momentum.

We are passionate about the education of our children, continuous professional development of all staff and a strong partnership with parents and the wider community.

You will be calm, patient and resourceful individual who will be able to respond positively to the challenges of working with young children within our mainstream early years classes

You will be positive and enthusiastic in your approach and will seek to provide the opportunity for the children they are working with to achieve their full potential, both academically and socially.
