Principal Consultant – Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

Job Description
We are seeking a Principal Consultant to lead PLM solutions for clients in Aerospace & Defence, helping them deliver new products through end‑to‑end process thinking and technology.
Responsibilities
- Lead PLM strategy and transformation initiatives, ensuring delivery of game‑changing solutions.
- Design and deploy PLM solutions across the product lifecycle with an emphasis on digital engineering.
- Define product and technology portfolio management, programme delivery and governance, mission‑driven systems engineering, multi‑disciplinary design and optimisation, verification and certification, smart manufacturing, and value chain collaboration.
- Deliver PLM diagnostics and develop business cases; outline operating models, requirements and solution blueprints.
- Lead client engagements, including managing stakeholders, programme governance and implementing PLM transformation and optimisation initiatives.
- Facilitate vendor partnerships and integrate solutions such as Siemens PLM products.
Qualifications
Essential
- 10+ years of PLM leadership experience; expert knowledge of major PLM vendors and configuration, BOM, variant management, CAD/CAE integration, ALM and maintain‑through‑life support.
- Business acumen: ability to shape business cases, implementation roadmaps and engage executives on PLM transformation vision.
- Prior consulting experience with full engagement lifecycle, stakeholder management and client delivery.
Desirable
- Engineering or related degree.
- Proficiency in ISO/IEC/IEEE standards such as ISO 15288, TOGAF, EIA‑649, STEP/PLCS, AS9145, ISO 9001/27001 and understanding of defence export‑control.
- Experience in Defence or other discrete manufacturing industries.
