We are urgently recruiting FLT Counterbalance Drivers for immediate start roles with a temp-to-perm opportunity. Offering consistent early shifts, ongoing work, and long-term stability, this is an excellent opportunity for experienced forklift drivers looking for reliable employment.
As an FLT Counterbalance Driver / Forklift Operator, you will be working within a busy warehouse and logistics environment, responsible for loading, unloading, and moving goods safely and efficiently. This role requires strong attention to safety, accuracy, and productivity. Tasks include transferring waste around the site using a forklift truck (must hold a full valid counterbalance forklift truck licence), loading and unloading flatbed vehicles and moving waste on pallets, some manual handling duties, operating baler and compactor units (training will be provided). Experience in the waste industry is an advantage but not essential.
Key responsibilities
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT)
- Loading and unloading vehicles, pallets, and stock
- Moving goods safely within the warehouse or yard
- Supporting goods-in and goods-out operations
- Following all health & safety procedures and site regulations
- Assisting with general warehouse duties when required
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment

Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence
- Previous experience as an FLT Driver / Forklift Operator
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
- Good teamwork and communication skills
