We’re working with a long-standing, family owned retail business based in West Bromwich who are looking to bring in a Project Accountant to join their close-knit finance team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys getting stuck into the detail and wants to grow into a broader commercial role over time. You’ll be reviewing current process, streamlining the transactional finance, reviewing the P&L, bank reconciliations and their current systems.
What you’ll be doing:
- Taking the reins of the in-house ad hoc finance projects.
- Supporting with month-end tasks such as accruals, prepayments, and journal postings.
- Assisting the Finance Director with reporting and projects as required.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar finance role, where you have reviewed and implemented a new finance process.
- A proactive attitude – someone who’s happy to take ownership of their work.
- Great attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Fully qualified, or qualified by experience.
The role offers a salary level of £40,000 – £50,000 with benefits. This is a brilliant role for someone who wants to be part of a down-to-earth team and work in a business where your contribution will really make a difference. You’ll be supported, allowed to work with autonomy, and given the space to grow into a broader finance role. This is an on-site role, based in West Bromwich in newly refurbished offices.
