**Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day :**
The **Creative Cultural Engineer** is responsible for positioning Hart Shoreditch as the cultural living room of East London by creating meaningful partnerships, experiences and storytelling that bring together guests, locals, brands and creative communities, driving engagement, awareness and commercial success.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Culture, Community & Partnerships**
Build and nurture relationships with local creatives, artists, musicians, designers, brands and cultural organisations Act as an ambassador for Hart Shoreditch within London’s creative, cultural and hospitality communities Identify emerging trends, talent and partnership opportunities that strengthen the hotel’s position within East London’s cultural landscape Prospect, pitch, negotiate and manage partnerships that deliver brand awareness, audience growth and commercial value
**Marketing, Brand & Storytelling**
Lead the creation and execution of content, campaigns and storytelling across social media, digital and offline channels Oversee brand consistency across all guest touchpoints, marketing collateral, websites, digital platforms and partner channels Develop relationships with media, influencers and content creators while managing PR, creative and marketing agencies Organise photography, videography and content creation initiatives that showcase the hotel’s personality, people, neighbourhood and cultural activity Grow and engage guest and community databases through CRM, email marketing campaigns and targeted audience engagement initiatives Oversee website content, landing pages and event promotion to ensure all digital channels remain current, engaging and aligned with brand objectives
**Experiences & Programming**
Develop and deliver a year-round calendar of cultural programming, partnerships, events, experiences supported by quarterly activation plans Create opportunities for guests, locals, brands and creative communities to connect through meaningful experiences, collaborations and curated packages Work closely with the General Manager, Commercial Director, F&B partners and operational teams to ensure the successful planning and execution of all events and partnerships Develop initiatives that increase repeat attendance, community participation and guest engagement
**Planning & Commercial Performance**
Drive revenue through partnerships, sponsorships, cultural programming, ticketed events and brand collaborations Support rooms and F&B performance through marketing initiatives and community-driven activations Develop annual marketing, partnerships and cultural programming plans aligned with commercial objectives Manage marketing, event and cultural programming budgets, monitoring and reporting on return on investment Measure and report on the performance of campaigns, partnerships and programming, tracking KPIs including revenue, attendance, engagement, media coverage, audience growth and partnership success
**Who we are looking for?**
**Skills**
Strong relationship-building and networking skills with the ability to connect people, brands and communities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Content creation and social media management experience across Instagram & TikTok, and emerging platforms Ability to develop and execute marketing campaigns from concept to delivery Strong event planning and project management skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Experience creating presentations, reports and partnership proposals Commercial awareness with the ability to identify partnership and revenue opportunities
**Knowledge & experience**
Experience in marketing, partnerships, brand activation, events, hospitality, culture, arts or creative industries Strong understanding of social media trends, content creation and audience engagement Knowledge of the East London creative landscape, including arts, music, design, fashion, film and cultural communities Experience working with agencies, media partners, influencers or cultural organisations Understanding of brand management and guest experience Familiarity with Canva or other graphic design platforms and social media analytics tools is advantageous
