CNC Setter / Operator

We are recruiting an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator for a well-established manufacturing business based in Minworth.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC machinery using Fanuc, Mazatrol and Mitsubishi controls.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to produce accurate machining programs.
• Select tooling, fixtures and machining parameters to ensure efficient production.
• Inspect components using precision measuring equipment.
• Complete quality documentation and maintain high manufacturing standards.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
• Work closely with engineering and quality teams to support production requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in CNC programming, setting and operation.
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc, Mazatrol and Mitsubishi control systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
• Competent using a range of inspection and measuring equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

• CAD/CAM experience, including Fusion 360, Edgecam or Mastercam.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S or Kaizen principles.
• Experience within precision engineering, automotive, aerospace, medical or similar sectors.

Pay Rate

• £14.55 Per Hour – £15.59 Per Hour Dependant On Experience
