Salary & Working Hours
Annual Salary: £29,607.60. Working Hours: Double Days. Week one 06:00 – 14:00, Week 2 14:00 – 22:00. (Green, yellow, red period payback: Red Period – 8 hours Monday to Friday; Yellow Period – 8 hours Monday – Thursday and 6 hours on Friday; Green Period – 8 hours Monday – Thursday with Friday payback – off work.)

Responsibilities
- Report and resolve any issues related to machinery.
- Maintain high standards and a can‑do attitude in a dynamic team.
- Move lines across the factory as and when required.
- Stand in as a Grade 1 as and when required.
- Work effectively with other team members in the department.
- Carry out all pre‑start checks.
- Ensure the product meets the correct quality and specification.
- Understand equipment and machinery set‑up requirements.
- Complete changeovers according to procedure.
- Follow rework procedures as required.
- Track and maintain product consistency by adjusting machinery settings.
- Complete all documentation to the required standard.
- Maintain factory safety standards at all times.
- Complete shift handovers in line with area requirements and the agreed agenda.
- Support the training and development of colleagues and new employees.
- Ensure the team understands the daily task plan.
- Communicate with relevant persons to resolve issues.
- Take part in discussions on process improvements, including DSOP.
- Enter production data into Autostore at the end of the day.
- Replace film rolls on the wrapping machine.
- Adjust wrapper settings to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Perform regular weight checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Operate the Jam depositor and the main enrober (Grade 1).
- Carry out metal detection checks as per procedure.
- Carry out all CP / CCP checks as per procedure.
- Report any problems to the Team Manager/ATM.
- Undertake basic problem diagnosis, maintenance and root cause analysis.
Qualifications
- Understanding of good manufacturing practices and safety at work procedures.
- Interest in operating machinery (mechanically minded).
- Can work well with others and be open to learning and change.
- Remains steady and solution‑focused when facing setbacks.
- Can work flexibly and adapt to change.
- Essential: Experience in operating machinery (training will be provided).
- Desirable: Experience operating machinery is desirable; all training will be required.
