The role involves the management of quality, clinical care, and advocating for the patient experience and the effective management of resources.
Main duties of the job
- To provide a high standard of individualized patient care reflecting individual competencies and education that involves relatives / carers as appropriate.
- To be responsible for the nursing care of a defined group of patients.
- To ensure that care is evidence based and patient centered.
- To assist in the management and organisation of the nursing service in the clinical area including the teaching and management of more junior staff or those in training.
- The post holder will assist in delivering a service which meets target standards and promotes a creative and innovative approach to on-going service development, including the mentoring and management of junior staff, and driving forward Achieving Excellence within the department.
- The post holder will be a resource nurse for the area and will act as a link in promoting an integrated specialist service.
- The post holder will develop elements of nurse led practice within LTC Hub.
