The Role
As a Parts Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient supply of vehicle parts to both internal departments and external customers. You will be responsible for identifying parts requirements, processing orders, managing stock levels, and delivering excellent customer service at all times. You work within a fast‑paced automotive environment, liaising with technicians, suppliers, and customers to ensure parts are sourced accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying and supplying vehicle parts for workshop and retail customers
- Processing parts orders via phone, email, and in person
- Managing goods‑in procedures and stock control activities
- Checking deliveries and ensuring stock accuracy
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and updating internal systems
- Liaising with suppliers regarding availability, pricing, and deliveries
- Supporting the workshop team with parts requirements
- Processing customer enquiries and providing quotations
- Ensuring excellent levels of customer service are maintainedAssisting with stock takes and inventory audits
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience within an automotive Parts Advisor, Parts Assistant, or similar role
- Knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle components
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good organisational and administrative abilities
- Experience using computerised stock control or dealer management systems
- Ability to work effectively in a busy environment and prioritise workload
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
