Trade Counter Technician – Pirtek Northampton
Location: Northampton
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative support to the franchise principal
- Answer phones and assist the Centre Manager in controlling and directing mobile engineers and vans
- Maintain a well‑presented appearance and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as required
- Assemble hydraulic hoses to customer requirements
- Assist with stock control, ordering and product sourcing
- Proactively sell to existing and new customers to meet and exceed sales and margin targets, while building and developing the customer base at the branch
- Ensure accurate and regular order entry to minimise delay between receipt of order and dispatch of goods, thereby maximising sales and stock turnover
- Log and process jobs through the Pirtek IT system
- Pro‑actively promote Pirtek products and services to walk‑in customers
- Operate the day‑to‑day sales counter area, keeping it clean, presentable, well stocked and merchandised at all times
- Actively promote Pirtek products and services to Trade Counter customers
- Abide by terms and conditions in your Employment Contract and Confidentiality Agreement
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a technical or engineering environment is advantageous but not essential
- GCSE in English and Maths
