As a Crane Operator at Sarens, you’ll join our team on major projects in the UK. You’ll operate some of the most powerful cranes in the world – LR1600, LR1750, CC2800, CC8800, CC9800 and SGC-250 – ensuring every lift is safe, accurate, and compliant. Your job in a nutshell
- Operate and control LR1600, LR1750, CC2800, CC8800, CC9800 cranes independently and safely.
- Assemble, configure, and dismantle cranes on-site.
- Check planning instructions, lifting plans, certificates, and load charts before work.
- Inspect cranes and auxiliary equipment before, during, and after operations.
- Perform daily and preventive maintenance; report irregularities.
- Complete maintenance checklists and work records accurately.
- Promote SHEQ standards and continuous improvement on every site.
- Report to your Line Manager and collaborate with Team Blue across Europe.
About you
You’re a hands-on professional who combines technical skill with a strong sense of responsibility. You value safety, precision, and teamwork. You’re ready to travel and take ownership of your craft.
Required
- Valid hoisting/safety certificate.
- Working at heights certificate.
- Solid knowledge of English for site communication.
- Basic understanding of mechanics and hydraulics.
- Driver’s license C or CE.
Preferred
- Technical education (MTS or MBO).
- Additional certificates (forklift, telehandler, aerial platform).
- Excellent communication and situational awareness skills.
- Permanent contract.
