PILING RIG OPERATOR

Our highly trained and directly employed teams deliver some of the UK’s most complex infrastructure projects. With a strong pipeline of work, we are looking for experienced individuals to join our team.

Duties

• Lead the achievement of Laing O’Rourke safety targets and maintain zero tolerance of unsafe working practices
• Ensure works comply with the agreed specification and raise NCR’s with Site Foreman
• Carry out, report and record daily checks on the piling rig
• Ensure greasing and light maintenance is carried out daily
• Operate the rig safely in line with manufacturer and company instructions
• Operate within the piling exclusion zone
• Install piles in accordance with drawings and schedules
• Record pile details including depths and any obstructions
• Maintain cleanliness of the rig at all times
• Follow directions from the rig banksman for all movements
• Assist in rigging up and de-rigging
• Complete daily cab sheets
• Assist in general site operations where required

Qualifications

• CPCS Skilled Worker Card (Blue)
• Experience in LDA / CFA piling preferred
