Overview
- Varied and hands:on role supporting a Partner within a busy criminal defence practice
- Preparing and drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Managing diaries, appointments and key deadlines
- Acting as a first point of contact for clients, both by phone and in person
- Overseeing file management from opening through to closure
- Maintaining accurate and up:to:date case documentation
- Tracking and chasing private fees within the road traffic department
- Ensuring payments are received in advance of hearings
- Supporting front:of:house duties and delivering a professional client experience

- Organised and detail:oriented Legal Secretary or Legal PA
- Previous experience within a legal or professional services environment preferred
- Strong administrative and communication skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast:paced setting
- Professional, approachable and confident dealing with clients
- Strong IT skills and understanding of law firm operations
- Experience within criminal defence or family law advantageous but not essential
- Well:established criminal defence firm with a strong local presence
