White Horse Employment is proud to be partnering with a well established, highly regarded professional services organisation to recruit an Assistant Finance Analyst to join their finance team. Your day to day responsibilities are:

  • Working within the finance team and liaising with other business areas to create and maintain a library of regular reports
  • Extracting and linking data from multiple systems and presenting results in a clear, meaningful way
  • Supporting the ongoing maintenance and development of data visualisation and reporting tools
  • Assisting with budget and forecasting models in Excel
  • Helping to standardise reporting processes to improve month on month reporting efficiency
  • Working with IT teams and external providers to understand available data sources
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and improve systems and processes
  • Ensuring reporting documentation and governance standards are followed

What we’re looking for:

  • An analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience producing management information, reports, or working with data
  • Ability to work with complex data and turn it into clear, useful insights
  • Advanced Excel skills (including formulas, macros or VBA would be an advantage)
  • Experience working with large or complex data sets
  • A good working knowledge of SQL
  • Familiarity with tools such as Power Query, PivotTables, or Business Intelligence (BI tools)
  • A proactive, organised approach with a strong focus on delivery

Desirable:

  • AAT qualification or accounting experience alongside data or IT skills
