Ince CE Primary and Nursery School

Charles Street, Ince, Wigan, WN2 2AL.

Salary: Grade 3, £18,067 per annum (£13.26 per hour). 31.25 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year.

Position: Teaching Assistant Level 2 1:1 SEN Support (temporary until 31st July 2027, commencement 1st September 2026). Possible multiple posts subject to SEND funding and pupils in school.

Qualifications and experience

  • Must hold a Level 2 teaching assistant qualification.
  • Experience providing specialist support to students with barriers to learning on a one‑to‑one basis.
  • Experience promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
  • Experience establishing constructive relationships with pupils and interacting with them according to their individual needs.
  • Experience promoting good behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy, and encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
