Shakespeare Messenger Award: One-to-One with a RADA Tutor

Shakespeare Awards offers participants the chance to work one‑to‑one with a RADA tutor to present a speech, sonnet or scene from Shakespeare and receive personalized feedback to develop their acting skills.

Assessment Process

• You will connect with a RADA tutor in a one‑to‑one online session.
• You will perform a speech from section one.
• Next, you will perform a speech from section two.
• After delivering the first two speeches, you will receive live suggestions to explore the text.
• You will then deliver the speech from section two again.

For the assessment to be valid, you must act from memory without reading a script.

Eligibility & Requirements

• Designed for single candidates aged 12 and above; ideal for ages 12‑14.
• Must be able to perform a speech from memory.
• Must not read a script during the assessment.

Outcome & Next Steps

• To earn the Messenger Award, you must achieve 25 marks out of 50.
• After the assessment you will receive your results and any feedback by post within one month.
• Upon completion of the Messenger Award, the next level is the Bronze Award.
