Application Support Specialist

My client, a leading Financial Services organisation are seeking an Application Support Analyst to join a fast-paced trading technology environment on a contract basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting front and back-office trading platforms, ensuring smooth operation of critical systems used across trading, clearing, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd/3rd line support for trading and post-trade applications
• Investigate and resolve production incidents and system issues
• Work closely with developers, infrastructure teams, and business users
• Support system changes, upgrades, and client onboarding activities
• Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management
• Assist with SQL-based data analysis and PowerShell scripting tasks

Key Skills Required

• PowerShell scripting experience (essential)
• Background in financial services / trading environments
• Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux systems
• Experience in application or production support roles
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
